Since this is an arrow that we are going to tune we want to put a mark on the Archery Nock Tool that aligns with the cock feather. A fine pointed marker works well in this operation, blue is a good color ink to use.
Insert the tool on the arrow.
Always turn the nock with the tool in a clockwise direction. This will take up any “play” and keep your adjustments precise.
While putting slight clockwise pressure on the tool bar put a small mark, on the tool, that aligns with the side of the cock feather.
Then using the tool to rotate the nock precisely tune the arrow until the arrow is clearing the bow and arrow rest and you have it just the way you want it to be.
After tuning the arrow remove the mark you made on the tool and put a new mark on the tool of the location of the cock feather on the newly tuned arrow.
